How new creators find an audience on Sekai

Sekai · October 10, 2026

On Sekai, every new creator gets a chance to be discovered, no followers required. As soon as you publish, your creation can appear in Sekai’s personalized feed, which connects it with players whose interests and play styles are a natural fit. A music creation, for example, can find its way to people who already love music experiences. Remixes and shares open up even more paths to new audiences, and while every creation’s journey is different, each one has room to grow.

If you've ever made something and put it online, you know the feeling. You finish it, you hit publish, and then… nothing. Most places reward people who already have an audience, so a first-time creator starts from zero, no matter how good the idea is.

We didn't want Sekai to work that way. From the start, the question we kept asking was: how does someone's very first mini-app find the people who'd actually enjoy it?

Discovery starts with interest, not followers

On Sekai, most people discover what to play through a personalized feed. Open the app and you’ll scroll through a stream of mini-apps made by the community: a quick game, a personality quiz, a short interactive story, a playful music toy.

That feed works beautifully in both directions. It’s how players find their next favorite thing, and it’s also how a new creation finds its audience. When you publish on Sekai, your creation doesn’t wait quietly on your profile for followers to stumble across it. It can appear right in the feed for people who’ve never heard of you, and that’s exactly where new fans come from.

What drives discovery is fit. Sekai’s feed is designed to match each creation with players whose interests and play habits align with it. Imagine you build a simple beat-maker on a Tuesday night. On Sekai, it can land in front of people who already love music experiences, whether or not you've ever published anything before.

Every creation’s journey is its own. Some travel far, some find a smaller but devoted audience, and there’s no set formula for which is which. What matters is that every creation starts in the same place: with the players most likely to enjoy it, not with how many followers you have.

Remixes and shares carry it further

The feed is only the first way in. Every creation on Sekai can be remixed. Someone plays your beat-maker, thinks "what if it had drums from a video game," and publishes their own version. Now your idea is in front of their players too. Remixes of remixes happen, and an idea can travel a long way from where it started.

Creations can also leave Sekai entirely. People send them to friends and post them on social media, which is how a creation can reach people who've never opened the app.

What happens when people start playing

Once people start playing, you hear about it. They like, comment on, save and share the things they enjoy, and remix the ones that spark something. For a first-time creator, that's often the best part: you find out what landed, what people wanted more of, and what they did with your idea.

That's the loop Sekai is built around. You make something, it finds players, they respond, and that gives you a reason, and usually an idea, for the next one. Plenty of people enter the loop from the other side, remixing something they loved before ever making something from scratch.

It's not a small group, either. In the past 30 days, nearly half of active Sekai users made, remixed or engaged with others' work1.

If you've got an idea, start creating. And if you want to see what people are making, take a look.
